The centre has been operating for quite a few years and originally was owned by a local. In June 2004 ABC took over and we became ABC Woree. In February 2007 our centre underwent renovations giving us a new look. Most of the staff have been working here from the first day when the centre was opened. We don't have much turn over. The group leaders hold their Diploma in Early Childhood and are studying towards their Adv. Diploma.
In September 2008 our centre went through accreditation and received high quality. We have five air conditioned play rooms and are licenced for 75 children from 6 weeks through to 6 years.
We have three play grounds - nursery has their own yard, Toddler and Pre Kindy share the middle yard, and Kindy and Preschool share the third yard. The Pre School and Kindy play area have a big tree and surrounded by the children's flower garden.
We also have before and after school care. In the School holidays we do have vacation care for the children age up to 7 years old.
All the staff hold a current suitability card and have first aid certificates.

Hi, my name is Pesi Brown and I came from the Kingdom of Tonga in the South Pacific just 11 years ago, with my Australian husband Steve and our young daughter Rosie, who is now 15 years old.
My background is a career in early Education and prior to leaving Tonga, I was a Primary School Teacher with 19 years experience, including that of Acting Principal. Shortly after I arrived in Cairns in 1998 I started working as an Assistant and commenced studying, gaining my Advanced Diploma Certificate which I obtained in 2002. I held the position of Assistant Director for about 1 year and then was promoted to Director, the position I now hold.
The best part of my job is watching the children growing daily. I am so lucky to be a part of these children life. I am also happy to go to work and meet the families from the different cultures.I have a good relationship with the parents.
