About our centre

Goodstart Early Learnig Child Care Centre Burpengary - Rowley Road is located in a semi-rural area of Burpengary, just 10 minutes from the Bruce Highway and 5 minutes from Burpengary train station.

We have a great reputation in the local community and once families attend the centre, they return again with their other children and refer family and friends to the centre. We are only two minutes from Burpengary Meadows State School. We have a transition program with the school which includes regular school visits to help our kindergarten children move smoothly to ‘big school’.

Our pride in the centre is shown through the hard work and dedication of our team who love to keep it looking its best at all times. The majority of our educators live locally and therefore have a strong connection with the community. Our team are well qualified including an Early Childhood Teacher, with most of our permanent staff having their Diploma. Each of our educators are extremely caring and committed to delivering a fun and educational program that incorporates the need of each child in their care. Our curriculum is based on the Early Years' Learning Framework.

We pride ourselves on keeping our communication channels open with families through a weekly email, newsletters, parents’ nights, daily discussions and bright displays of our daily activities. Our Storypark platform allows us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have a balance of natural and manmade elements. We also have a worm farm and compost bins, this provides many opportunities to teach the children about recycling and we encourage them to contribute their left overs to the daily compost. Another advantage of our centre is that we offer all meals and nappies for younger children, making the job of preparing each morning much easier for families

When families first come to our child care centre, they often comment on how big our play area is. We’re very fortunate to have this space, along with lots of trees and gardens throughout the play area. In fact, once the children get outside into the yard, they don’t want to go home!

Hi, My name is Jody and I am the Centre Director here at Burpengary - Rowley Road. I have been a centre director for over 15 years.

I love to watch children learn and grow, it is such a highlight to see children reach their milestones and we love to do that alongside families.

I have two teen aged boys of my own and I understand how difficult it can be to drop your children off with virtual strangers, so we invite prospective families to stay and play with their children as many times as they like, prior to commencement. This gives both families and their children an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the environment and build up relationships with the educators, as well as the other children at the centre.

I believe children learn through play. Play allows children to build their social skills, whilst building their fine and gross motor skills. Play also allows children to make choices and think for themselves and promotes negotiation and communication skills.

Here at Goodstart Burpengary – Rowley Road we are here to support families and help children to develop into confident learners. Drop by and say hi!
