Goodstart Early Learning Penfield is situated on a 12 acre block in a rural farming area. The centre boasts large grassed outdoor play areas for the children and an interactive farm environment. All of the children are involved in the care and feeding of the pony, sheep, chickens and ducks. They are also able to collect the eggs, watch the sheep be shorn and help maintain the vegetable garden. 

As we are situated in an Asian farming community, we expose children to that culture and we participate in special cultural events, especially Chinese New Year. We believe in providing children with a stimulating and challenging program of experiences that will extend their skills in all areas of development in a fun and loving environment. 

We strive to develop strong relationships with all of our families as an extension of the family unit, and strongly encourage children to develop and maintain friendships with each other. We have developed a special bond with a local aged care facility and an important part of our program includes taking groups of children to visit the residents and interact with them on a regular basis, giving the children an understanding of and healthy respect for the elderly in our community.
