Goodstart Early Learning Sydenham is a 90 place long day care centre, which has been operating since 2005. We provide care for children, aged six weeks to five years.
The centre is located opposite the Copperfield College, 60 Community Hub, Sydenham 3037. Feel free to come in to visit, for a centre tour.
We have a great team of highly experienced and qualified staff members many have worked with us for over 4 years.
Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 6.30am to 6.30pm, and we cater for children aged between 6 weeks to school age.
We provide nappies, delicious and nutritional meals/ snacks for breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. All food is prepared on the premises daily, by our centre chef.
We have five rooms, a Nursery, Toddler One room, Toddler Two room, Pre Kinder room and a Kinder room.
On offer The Kinder Dance Program at $12.00 a session. This program involves creative movement, Dance, Multi Cultural Dance, Gymnastics, Sports, Music, Drama, Healthy Heart Education, 000 in an Emergency, Fire Safety Awareness, Protective Behaviours and Stranger Danger Guidance, Values Programme and Relaxation Techniques, with an emphasis on healthy habits, the human body, food groups, feelings and sensory awareness.
We have great partnerships with experts within their field for Early Years Education - Literacy, Maternal Health Nurse, Local Primary and Secondary Schools.
We are rated by the National Childcare Accreditation Council as a High Quality run centre. We work within the National Quality Framework and in partnership with the Department of Education Early Childhood. Management and staff strive to provide high quality care and education and a happy and positive environment for your children.
We offer a range of free incursions throughout the year. For example, the fire brigade visited the centre, and spoke to the children about safe ways to evacuate the building and what to do, in case of a fire, the chicken hatching program, farm animals on the move, Wild Mobile Zoo.
The outdoor yards were fully renovated in 2006. We have excellent playgrounds, with a variety of equipment for your children to play in and explore. We also have our own garden, where children plant a variety of fruit and vegetables. We have separate yards for Nursery children, the Toddler One and Two children and for the Pre Kinder and Kinder children.
