Goodstart Early Learning Whyalla opened in June 2006.  We are one of two rural Goodstart Early Learning Centre's in South Australia (the other is in Mt Gambier).

We are licenced for 75 children per day and have four separate areas for the children to play, grow and learn in.We are situated on the top of a hill at the intersections of Nicolson Avenue, Beerworth Avenue and Elliott Street.  We have a fantastic view of Whyalla and its surrounds and a glimpse of the ocean to the east.

Most of our carers have been at the centre since we opened and all share the same kind of community spirit that makes country regions unique.  We are nearly all involved with the community through sports, church groups or music and this provides us with the added bonus of knowing our families really well.

Our carers pride themselves on their educational and fun programs and are a very supportive of the children and their family's ever changing needs.

We invite you to come into our centre and see for yourself how much fun we have.
Susie Keating
Centre Director
I'm Susie Keating. I have been the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Whyalla since we opened in June 2006 and during this time I have come to support and know many Whyalla families.

I have been living in Whyalla  since 1997 and have formed strong bonds within the community, particularly through my own children and my family's sporting commitments.

I thoroughly enjoy each day at Goodstart Early Learning. Every day brings a different connection with the children and their families.

I spend time each day with the children so that I can get to know them on a personal level.I look forward to getting to know new children and their families, and look on with pride as our older children venture off to new horizons at school.
