About our centre

Here at Goodstart Carrum Downs Hall Rd, we pride ourselves on creating a community of little learners. We provide a clean, stimulating environment with 6 educational rooms all providing age appropriate programs. We believe in following the child’s lead, guiding them through all aspects of their development and will transition children between rooms as they are ready, based on their own individual needs. Our educators are qualified and highly experienced, hold current first aid certificates and are involved in ongoing learning programs, ensuring they stay on top of their own education, so they can effectively educate others.
We are very fortunate to have a purpose-built centre with state of the art facilities, beautiful naturistic back yards and a commercial kitchen. Your child’s health is important to us, with the commercial kitchen comes a dedicated cook and all our menus are approved by Nutrition Australia.
Early Learning is a journey, we are passionate educators, investing ourselves in your child’s life, from birth to school and we are there every step of the way leaving no child behind. Together there’s no limit!

Susie Forbes

Centre Director

Hi, my name is Susie Forbes, and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Carrum Downs - Hall Road.

I have been working in early childhood since 2009. I completed my Diploma and have worked across all age groups. I completed my Bachelor of Early Childhood in 2017 and worked as an early childhood teacher for four years before taking on the Centre Director role.

I have worked across every age group engaged in all areas of the early childhood sector. This gives me a unique ability to fully support the staff across all areas. Having adult children, I have the advantage of hindsight perspective and understanding around some of the challenges facing our families.

I believe that children are at the centre of everything we do in early childhood. I have a thorough understanding of all elements of early childhood and therefore equipped to support staff in implementing programs that provide children with the best possible start in life.

I enjoy building strong relationships with both families and children along with watching relationships grow between the families, children and my team. This team is very warm and welcoming, and I know they are very keen to meet new families as I am. We have established deep connections to our community and are very proud of these connections as we continue to nuture and grow them.
