About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning child Eight Mile Plains offers a natural homely feel which gives the children a calm and easy transition between home and our centre. This is a unique, purpose-built double-centre located in a residential area close to schools, shops and Technology Park.

One building specialises in care from Nursery and Toddler aged children, whilst the other runs a Government approved Kindergarten program. This enables all children access to resources and care specific to their age group.

Many of our staff have been working at the centre for over 3 years and this year have welcomed some new educators to the team, which makes this year very exciting. Our qualified Early Childhood Teacher has built some fabulous links with the local schools, helping the children make a smooth transition to prep.

Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.

Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability.

We take a family-orientated approach to early learning, and encourage families to share in the varied centre program and activities we have throughout the year. We also believe direct communication between families and educators is extremely important. That’s why educators make daily time to talk to parents and discuss their child’s development.

We very much encourage families to be involved in their child’s journey with us. This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

We also offer a variety of extra-curricular activities including soccer and chess. All staff show care, affection and love towards all children in their care.  You are welcome to visit us and have a tour of our centres to see how much fun we can offer to your child.

We look forward to meeting you and your family soon! Come in and meet the team, take a tour and see how we can work together to give your child the best possible start in life.
