About our centre

At Goodstart Early Learning Hillside we pride ourselves in being an Exceeding centre. As an Exceeding centre we are 1 out of 3 centers that have been selected to be learning centre for remodeling knowledge in practice. Educators from other centres visit us and observe our exemplary practices.

This centre is a purpose-built childcare centre that caters for 120 children and has a big indoor and outdoor space. There are six rooms within our centre ranging from Nursery, Toddler One, Toddler Two, 3- and 4-year-old Kindergarten funded programs. We cater for children from six weeks up to five years old.

Many of our educators that have been at the centre for over a decade. We also have many new faces along with our growing centre. Our educators range in qualifications from Certificate III to Diploma in Children's Services and in the Pre-Kinder room and Kindergarten room we have teachers to run a funded program.

We also have a cook on premises five days a week and we provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. The meals that we provide are healthy and nutritious. We also cater for children who have allergies to certain foods and we offer Halal.

We have extracurricular activities Hey Dee Ho and Jump for Joy, and a sports program where the children learn many different sport skills throughout the week. We have a great connection with the community where the children participate in incursions and excursions such as such as going to the Zoo and the local farm. We also have special visits from within the local community such as firefighters, librarians, ambulances, police officers and local schools.

We recently transferred our two boys from another Goodstart early learning centre to HIllside. I am very impressed by the nice and passionate staff here, especially the receptionist Debbie, she is very patient with all my questions and really understanding about parents’ concerns. I love this daycare for my daughter. I toured a lot of centres around the area but Goodstart HIllside has a homely and welcoming vibe. The staff are friendly, happy and switched on. I am extremely happy with the care my daughter receives and it definitely puts my mind at ease. The meals served are nutritious and healthy. We get updated with photos of meals regularly on Storypark. They are meticulous at completing the logbooks which I love. There are lots of age-appropriate activities for the kids. Liana, the director is a wonderful and compassionate person. They are also very accommodating in every possible way they can. Overall, a great daycare centre!

Sending my boy to the Goodstart Hillside centre is the best decision ever I've made! Centre director Liana is super friendly and caring! My son has been taken care by the centre since he was 10 months starting in Nursery, all the way now to Toddler 2, each and every educator who ever taken care of him are considerate and gave him lots of love and attention, not to mention with all different kind of tailor-made activities towards different age group, he learned so much and happy to go to centre every day! Liana Prundus

Centre Director

My name is Liana Prundus and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Hillside. I have worked in the early learning sector since 2009 and I have a Diploma of Children and Community services and currently studying for a Bachelor of Education.

I have worked in a variety of roles within a local council including Room leader, Educational Leader, Assistant Director and Director.

I am passionate about giving young children a safe and secure environment to learn, develop, and be curious, engaged and competent participants. I am dedicated to working with families and will seek to learn more about your background, values and experiences so we can work together to provide the best possible learning and care for your child.

It's a passion I share with the team I am fortunate to work with. With years of experience and excellent qualifications, this is a team of dedicated and committed professionals.
