About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning Kedron is a centre with lots of character. Our friendly staff are warm, nurturing and highly gifted at educating and meeting the needs of all children in their care. We are an old church building that has been converted into a childcare centre. We have five rooms: Nursery, Toddlers (15months - 2 years), Toddler 2 (15 months - 3 years), and Kindergarten. We have an on site centre cook who provides a healthy and nutritional morning tea and afternoon tea in all rooms. We provide nappies in our Nursery and Toddler rooms.

We are located next to the Kedron State School and have a good relationship with the school. We have highly gifted and talented educators in all of our rooms, who are all providing a hands on, child initiated programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework and Emergent Curriculum. This is being implemented to a high degree of success.

Out staff are passionate and dedicated childcare workers. They enjoy their jobs and their interactions with the children immensely. The staff cook with the children and we have lots of fun on dress up days.

At Goodstart Early Learning Kedron, we believe that early education that is interest based, fulfilling and developmentally appropriate and challenging at the same time, gives children the foundations for more success in later life.

Meghann Russell

Centre Director

Hello my name is Meghann and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Kedron. Our 75 place repurposed centre was original a beautiful church which offers high ceilings and windows capturing plenty of natural light. Our centre is a rich part of the Kedron community and history.

I began my Early Learning path in 2009 beginning in an additional needs assistant role. I have completed my Certificate 3 and Diploma in Children Services and gained many years of experience in all age groups in this rewarding industry.

I believe building strong connections with families, children and educators, creates a successful and smooth transition from birth to schooling.

I believe children are natural learners and when provided with play based learning opportunities and implementing strong educational practices, we are able to meet the needs of each individual child.
