About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Madeley is located in the northern suburbs, situated in a convenient location close to Wanneroo Road, yet tucked into a quiet slip road across from Kingsway Caravan Park.

Our dedicated educators implement the Early Years Learning Framework providing stimulating play based educational programs.

At Goodstart Madeley we are proud of our team dynamics and believe that our strengths complement one another creating an easy going professional workplace. With a low staff turnover and many long standing educators we boast a happy, safe and exciting environment for all.

Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten/ Preschool – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.

We maintain consistent and clear communications with families and this is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.

Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.

A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.

Centre Director

Hi there! My name is Shannon, and I am the Centre Leader here at Goodstart Early Learning Madeley.

I have worked in the early learning and community service sector for over 30 years. During my time working in the ECEC sector I have been lucky enough to have worked in all age groups from Nursery through to Out of hours school care.

I have had a passion for educating and nurturing children from when I was a young child, always showing that nurturing, caring and protective side toward children. Early Childhood Education and Care concentrates on our youngest children, research has proven the importance the first five years of a child’s brain development is to their learning and social development in the years that follow, and I and my team feel privileged to be a part of this important part of children’s lives.

At Goodstart Madeley we feel connecting with our families and giving all a sense of belonging makes an easier and trusting transition into care. We encourage our families to ask questions, make suggestions and to become an integral part of the Goodstart Madeley Family.
