About our centre
Located on Flemington Road, our North Melbourne centre is a newly-constructed, architecturally designed building with vibrant outdoor play areas and a rooftop playspace overlooking the Melbourne skyline.
The centre has five separate and spacious age-based learning spaces, including a nursery, a toddler learning space, pre-kindy and kindergarten. Large, shaded playgrounds feature natural play spaces for children to explore and include fruit and vegetable gardens, sandpits, climbing equipment and chill-out zones.
We offer 2 years of kinder. That's two years of continued high-quality early learning, playing and making friends. Everything your child needs to feel ready for school.
The rooftop features a wooden cubby house, swings, bike tracks, a timber stage for performances, stepping stones, bridge, water pump and a stream for exploration. Children can also sit in the yarning circle for conversations with peers and Educators.
Five Bachelor-qualified teachers will develop and deliver tailored education programs. Goodstart Early learning in North Melbourne focusses on strong positive interactions with children and educators, following the key educator approach across the center.
The menu has been specially designed following the Australian nutritional guidelines. The food is prepared fresh daily by the in house Sous chef.

Hi, my Name is Nisha Bhatt and I’m the Centre Director at Goodstart North Melbourne.
I have been working in Early Childhood Education for 13 Years. Over my years in the industry, I have worked within many roles, including Casual Educator, room assistant, room leader and an Assistant Director. I have successfully completed my Certificate III, Diploma and Advance Diploma of Early Childhood Education.
As a Centre Director, I aim to foster high quality education and care for children to achieve the best possible outcomes. The First five years of a child’s life are crucial in setting milestones for growth and development. Children build positive relationships with the world around them with quality education and care from educators and carers. I am responsible for providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for children free from discrimination. I believe in utilising the benefits of play based learning and holistic development, which are essential in enhancing children’s social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
To achieve excellence in providing quality Early Childhood Education, I believe in partnering with families and communities to nurture young minds and empower them to learn and grow.
I look forward to welcome and support all families and children to join our nurturing environment of dedicated and qualified teams of educators who are passionate about early Childhood development and are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
