About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Torquay is a wonderful part of the Surf Coast district, located close to schools, shops, transport and the beach! We embrace our small community and the centre has a warm, welcoming and homely feel.

Our three rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool are geared to offer stimulating and fun learning opportunities through our Early Years Learning Framework curriculum. We also work closely with our families to ensure the children’s individual needs, interests and strengths are taken into account. Our community links enable us to tap into our region’s broader resources, enhancing the learning experience and deepening the children’s understanding.

Through our Storypark platform we are able to maintain an open and clear line of communication with parents and families, ensuring we are best able to care for their children and respond when needs arise.

Outside, we have spacious shaded areas with a mix of natural and manmade elements to test and nurture the children’s development. We have sandpits, cubbies, a vege patch, worm farm and lots of room for bikes, running around and exploring!

When tummies start to rumble we have a kitchen and cook on hand to provide nutritious and balanced meals.

Our staff participate in regular training courses, further developing their skills and knowledge. Working as a team, we provide a warm and inviting environment for children to explore and further their skills.

Centre Director

Hi, My name is Claire and I’m the Centre Director Goodstart Torquay. I have worked in the Early Learning industry for nine years, and hold a Diploma in Children Services. I've been part of the Goodstart team for nine years, this has given me the opportunity to deveop my career and be exposed to many areas of the business.

I love to share my passion for early childhood and to be able to watch children grow and learn. It is so rewarding to be a part of their special moments and reaching their milestones in their developmental years.

I am very proud of our centre as we are one big happy family and we pride ourselves on the close relationships we have with our children and families.
