Goodstart Yass

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre, is in the quiet rural town of Yass, approximately 40 minutes from Canberra. Our centre is beautifully positioned, just off the main street, within walking distance to all town facilities including supermarkets, shops, and schools. 

We have four indoor learning environments, two outdoor learning environments and a commercial kitchen.
Our four indoor learning environments are set up in line with the Early Years’ Learning Framework, taking into account the individual interests and needs of each child.

Our Nursery offers a sense of security and belonging to children aged six weeks to two years, and the Toddler room creates play based learning for children aged two to three years. Our preschool programs for children aged 3-5 years, nurture children’s collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking skills. Our preschool programs offer early learning environments that excite and engage children today - environments that offer friendships, challenges, comfort and joy-and are grounded in children’s propensity for play.
Our physical environments have been designed to allow flexible use and interaction between indoor and outdoor areas. With our equipment and spaces – including gardens, and sandpits, we are able to instil the values of sustainability in children.

Our commercial kitchen is utilised by the centre cook to provide a weekly nutritional menu that consists of breakfast, morning tea, lunch/dessert, afternoon tea and late afternoon snack.

Our goal is for every child to feel safe and secure, to have fun, to have a sense of belonging, to develop a mix of skills and dispositions that will help them learn, and to achieve a smooth transition to school as well as set them up for their future in our ever-changing world.
