For Bev Anderson, working in early learning has always been about the children.
About our centre
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Mona Vale is nestled beneath native gum trees, in a residential area close to schools, shops and transport links.
Our indoor spaces are just as special, with predictable and comforting areas encouraging self-lead play, decision making skills and social interactions. Our rooms open up onto our outdoor spaces, allowing for a free-flow affect throughout the day.
Not only does this allow for our educators to support success when transitioning but also encourages children to make choices and become more capable and confident learners. Our curriculum is developed in line with the Early Years' Learning Framework, keeping in mind the children's individual needs and interests.

We have endless opportunities for natural exploration in a safe, but challenging space where children are encouraged to discover, investigate and connect with nature. We encourage loud, messy play in our outdoor space, with logs, tyres, river rocks and water play, stimulating sensory learning as well as a respect and value on nature’s resources.

Our team are experienced, trusting and committed to ensuring you and your child experience the best quality care with us. We strive to establish secure base attachments, and work towards an evidence-informed, key educator approach, allowing for success when navigating the foundational aspects of life-long relationships and partnerships.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
We also have a cook on premises five days a week and we provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. The meals that we provide are healthy and nutritious and we also cater for children who have allergies to certain foods.
Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

My name is Julie and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Mona Vale.
I have worked in the childcare industry for 25 years and have loved every minute of my career.
Children are our future and I believe given the right love, care, support, understanding and patience children are able to achieve anything. I love the fact that every day is different and to be part of a child’s learning and development is so amazing and so rewarding.
As a mum of two children I understand how hard it can be to leave your children whilst at work but here at Mona Vale I am very fortunate to have a team of educators who are passionate about children and provide the best quality learning and development for the children in our centre.
I look forward to welcoming you all to our Goodstart Mona Vale family.
