Goodstart Junee

Welcome from Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Junee. We are located in a small rural township approximately 40kms outside Wagga Wagga. We are the only long day Early Learning Service in the area – and we are conveniently located near schools, shops and main transport routes.

Our child care centre is open 52 weeks a year with the exception of Public Holidays, we are licenced for 44 children each day and cater for children 6 weeks to school age.

Inside, all of the rooms  - from Nursery to Preschool - are set up in line with Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
 
Our Storypark platform, as well as family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor programs to each child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. We have one large area with covered verandah, bike track, sandpit, vegetable garden, worm farm and other garden beds.

We provide morning and afternoon tea for tummies made hungry by lots of play!

Goodstart Junee is extremely community focused and pride ourselves on our strong and continual commitment to our local area and families. Our educators are trained in the Munch and Move program, encouraging healthy habits for children. We also use our connection with the community – and the individuals and organisations therein – to enrich the early learning experience.
