A boost to learning in inner Sydney

Goodstart centres

The Goodstart family has grown with the opening today (September 12) of a new centre at Alexandria in Sydney.

Huntley Street Early Learning is one of three City of Sydney City centres Goodstart will operate for the council, with centres at Annandale and Darlinghurst set to open in October.

New area manager Sara Jordan, centre director Sharon Harb and their teams have come on board to ensure the 80-place centre provided the best outcomes for the centre’s children in an area of Sydney’s inner-city where demand for early learning places is growing.

Ms Jordan said she was proud to be part of the new City of Sydney centres.

“Collaboratively we have created a beautiful environment for children, families and educators. Feedback from families has already been very positive saying they love the calm, natural environment,” Ms Jordan said.

Ms Harb said her team were also excited to unveil the new centre.

“We can’t wait to show off our new facilities to children, families and the community,” Ms Harb said.

“The rooms are beautifully designed. We’ve created a homely environment with wooden furniture and natural play spaces along with soft lighting.

“There’s endless opportunities for children to discover and learn. The centre features indoor and outdoor play spaces for children to explore. There’s also a large veranda, mud pit, sand pit and a bike track. It’s a fun space that will inspire children’s learning and creativity.

“We’re excited to see the children use the spaces that we’ve set up for them,” she said.

Huntley Street is the 123rd centre in New South Wales. The centre is located at 4H Huntley St, Alexandria.
