Join campaign to fight for funding

Goodstart stories

With the federal election just around the corner, Smart Start is calling for the Australian community to become supporters to help fight for funding for all children.

Part of Goodstart’s mission is to advocate for quality early learning for all Australian children and the Smart
Start campaign exists to promote the value of early learning and pressure all sides of politics to improve the amount of quality early learning children receive.

Goodstart’s campaign manager Wendy George said ahead of the federal election, Smart Start would be pushing for funding improvements for all children to be able to attend quality early learning in the two years before school.

“Smart Start is a movement working to ensure that every child launches into their learning journey with the skills they need,” Ms George said.

“By joining our Smart Start campaign, you will help play a vital role in shaping government decision-making and ultimately enhancing school and life outcomes for all of Australia’s children.”

Ms George said the Smart Start community played a vital role in the early childhood sector’s push to secure childcare funding so all Australian children could have access to affordable, quality early education.

“The CCS is now benefiting working families all over the nation, but there’s more to do, with the next federal election just around the corner.”

Today the Smart Start website has more than 27,000 supporters and that number is growing.

One simple way to get involved is by joining the Smart Start community. Visit   http://www.thesmartstart.com.au/join/ and share the link with your colleagues, friends and families.
