Family fun day out to raise money
Families are invited to join in a community fun day, with a difference on November 12.
Goodstart Doncaster East will host activities and entertainment between 10am and 3pm in their hope to raise $10,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Centre director Eileen Rushton said a lot of heart and effort had gone into planning this year’s event.
“This is the second year we have held this event for the community. Last year we thrilled to have raised $5,289 to support people with blood cancer and fund vital blood cancer research and this year we have decided to double our fundraising goal,” Ms Rushton said.
“Goodstart is incredibly grateful to the Leukaemia Foundation and all of the community businesses who have come onboard to help us through their generous donations – we couldn’t do this without them. For all of our team at the centre, this is a very personal and passionate cause that is very close to our hearts.”
