Our centre staff work as a team to provide the high quality care that our children receive on a daily basis. At Goodstart Early Learning Forbes we maintain a friendly, personal and caring relationship with our families, many of whom have showed their loyalty to the centre since 2003 when we first opened our doors.

We strive to maintain high quality care by providing families and children with qualified staff. Our staff continually update update their skills and knowledge by regularly attending professional development  courses.

Our wonderful cook provides a large variety of tasty food for the children on a daily basis.

We like to invite families to come into the centre and share information and special talents with the children. We also invite the wider community into the service with regular monthly visits from  residents of the local retirement village, as well as visits from the postman, firemen and ambulance.

We love to come together with families to celebrate special events. Our favourite would have to be each child's birthday. The family brings in a birthday cake to share with friends and photos are taken. Throughout the year we celebrate Harmony day, Valentines Day, Easter, Red Nose Day, Christmas and Chinese New Year, just to name a few. Our Pre-School graduation is also a time for celebration for those children moving on to big school.

Goodstart Early Learning Forbes also has a parent committee consisting of 20 parents. Forming the parent committee has enhanced the parent involvement in our centre. The committee has co-ordinated many small events for the children throughout the year.
Vickie Spencer
Centre Director
Hi, my name is Vickie Spencer. After raising a family of four children, I worked as a Teachers Aide for nine years before venturing into Early Childhood Education.  I am a trained Early Childhood teacher, having completed my degree at Charles Sturt University through distance education.

I arrived at Goodstart Early Learning in 2006 working as a Group Leader before taking on the role of Director.

I have a passion for working with children and watching them grow and develop into wonderful people.

I continually update my knowledge in Early Childhood Education through study and attending in service training.

I believe as early childhood educators it is our job to teach children about themselves and the world around them; to give them a love of learning.
