We are located in the leafy suburb of Mangerton approximately two minutes drive from the central business district of Wollongong. Travelling from the north or south the Figtree exits off the freeway will lead you in our direction.The building was originally a church and church hall.

The atmosphere is friendly and inviting with some of the characteristics of the buildings past adding charm.

The centre provides care for children six weeks through to six years. Each room has qualified and experienced staff monitoring the individual development and milestones of each child and ensuring a nurturing and caring environment is maintained.

The curriculum the staff provide is based on children's interests and individual development, ensuring each child has opportunity to learn in a learning environment which fosters relationship building, exploration, creativity, problem solving, language and literacy, acceptance and independence.

The centre has a low staff turn-over with many of the staff working within the service for over five years. The staff pride themselves in being professional, friendly, and caring people.

My name is Tricia Doyle and I am the Centre Director of Goodstart Early Learning Mangerton.

I started studying and working as a childcare professional in 1991. I completed my Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) in 2001 and I continue to attend conferences and in-services to ensure that my knowledge is challenged and the service I oversee is based on current research and best practise recommendations.

I have worked in a variety of childcare environments; home based care as a nanny, and small and large centres. I have been responsible for the care of children aged between birth and 12 years. The variety of work places has provided me with well-rounded experience within the early childhood profession.

I lead a professional team of highly qualified and experienced staff who value individuality and demonstrate their commitment to early childhood daily through their acceptance of differences and their encouragement of each child's individual development in our social setting.
