Located on Bunurong (Boon Wurrung) and Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung land, Goodstart Derrimut offers a welcoming and inclusive early learning environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn. Within walking distance of Derrimut Primary School and St Lawrence School, our centre supports strong connections between early learning and school. Our government-funded Kindergarten program is delivered by university-qualified teachers, helping children develop the skills they need for school and beyond. With a strong focus on independence, communication and confidence, children are well prepared for their next step. 

At our centre, all incursions and excursions are based on children’s interests, making every experience engaging and meaningful. For our 4-year-old kindergarten children, we aim to provide three bus excursions each year, while our 3-year-old kindergarten children have one bus excursion. Children also enjoy regular visits to local parks, recycling stations and community spaces, helping them explore their environment, build social skills and connect learning with the world around them.
