At Goodstart Ocean Keys, our centre is dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children from six weeks to school age.

Our team of experienced and dedicated educators is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children. With a focus on building strong, positive relationships, we go out of our way to see your child feel valued and supported every day. We have a committed, longstanding team who treat each child as an individual.
Safety is our top priority, and we look after our centres. They're intentionally designed to make the best use of our early learning resources and our settings are enriching and engaging. From spacious outdoor play areas to well-appointed learning spaces, we'll have many things that meet your child's interests and individual needs. 
Outside, children get to spend time in nature among beautiful trees in our expansive yards, with plenty of shade available. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
If your child attends childcare with us, they can stay with us until they start school. At Goodstart Ocean Keys we offer an approved kindergarten program. This curriculum is designed as a part of the Australian government's early years learning framework and it's delivered by bachelor-qualified early childhood teachers. This early education program applies across the country with school readiness in mind.

Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one key educator who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. We keep families informed with regular updates on their child's progress and we welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.

Christine Kirby

Centre Director

Hello, my name is Christine and I am the Centre Director (CD) at Goodstart Ocean Keys.

I have been the Centre Director at Goodstart Ocean Keys since January 2022 and I am committed to the families, educators, and the amazing children.

I am proud of the team we have and how we as a team our building future leaders and strong, independent children.

I’m an early childhood professional who believes that the best way to help our future is to nurture and educate our youth.

I have a broad range of experience in the early childhood industry, having built my skills and knowledge in a variety of educator and other centre roles before working in CD positions in Perth and ACT. I also spent time as a therapy assistant for the Autism Association of WA, which ignited my passion for working with families and children to create an inclusive world. I am now motivated to help drive that change.

I pride myself in creating environments that embrace the unique personality and skill set of the children, educators and families at my centre. I’m excited to work be part of a not-for-profit organisation who gives back to the community it’s a part of.
