About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Stratton is situated minutes from the Swan Valley with views overlooking the Perth Hills and surrounding bush lands for all to enjoy. We are located close to local schools and shops as well as transport routes, making the daily drop-off and pick-up convenient and stress-free.

We are a 97 place purpose built child care centre with modern facilities, featuring five large, age appropriate rooms with a great variety of equipment available for use of both indoors and outdoors.

Our program at Goodstart Stratton is a culturally competent holistic program incorporating all aspects of a child’s developmental domains. It is reflective of the elements of the Early Years Learning Framework – belonging, being and becoming. We believe these outcomes are the backbone in ensuring we are providing our children with the best possible start in life to prepare them for their future.

We take pride in providing a warm, secure, and nurturing environment for our children, ensuring the atmosphere is both friendly and inviting. Our aim is for each child to experience happiness and enjoyment throughout their time with us.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with sandpits, gardens and lots of shade. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

During the year we take part in special events such as the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea, our End of Year Celebration, Open Days and Parent Information Evenings.

We look forward to meeting you and your family at Goodstart Stratton and exploring how we can support you through the early learning adventure.

Corrine Bell

Centre Director

Kaya families, my name is Corrine Bell and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Stratton.

As Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Stratton I strive to support chidren to be the voice of tomorrow.

I love working with children and building authentic relationships with families. I wanted to work in childcare since I was in high school, and have now been in the early learning sector for 12 years, in various roles across all age groups.

Goodstart’s vision aligns with my own — that children are central to all we do. It’s really important to me that Goodstart has been making a great effort to ensure the next generation of Australians grow up with a connection to and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, people, and our true history.

Goodstart Early Learning Stratton is on Whadjuk land. We’re for walking alongside our families, children and communities on our Reconciliation journey. I identify myself as a Ballardong Noongar woman and my family are from Northam.

I have learnt and maintained a strong belief in children learning through play. When children are provided with opportunities within their own interests and in a manner where they are comfortable and safe and without the fear of failing enables the most amazing learning to occur.

I look forward to welcoming you to our Goodstart Stratton family.
