Hi, I’m Emma Weir and I’m the Centre Director here at Goodstart Buderim.

I have been the Centre Director at Goodstart Buderim since 2026. I hold a Diploma in ECEC and take great joy and satisfaction in overseeing the educational programs and care at Goodstart Buderim. I have been in the Early Childhood industry for over 17 years, I have worked in many roles from educator to educational leader, assistant director and now centre director. I have worked in a range of services both private and non for profit, in Australia and Ireland. working with children from birth to 12 years.

I strongly believe that your child’s first experiences in early childhood education should be positive as it establishes their attitude for learning for their whole life. I am passionate about delivering high quality care in a safe and inclusive environment.

One of the things I love most about the community at Goodstart Buderim is the genuine relationships that have been built between our children, families and educators. There is a real sense of belonging here, where everyone knows and cares for one another, and families are welcomed as partners in their child's learning journey.

When I’m not in the centre, you’ll find me walking my little brown sausage dog, Sonny or spending time with my family, most likely at the local skate park. I am also a huge gym freak and love CrossFit and am an occasional running enthusiast.

At Buderim, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 6 July 2026 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
