Goodstart congratulates dedicated and passionate Centre Director, Marlene, on achieving this prestigious award!
Marlene displayed exceptional leadership skills in 2020, making a difference not only to children’s and families’ lives but also the broader community in St Leonards.
Her leadership saw the Goodstart St Leonards centre achieve a rating of Exceeding in all 7 quality areas, assessed by the Australian Children's Education & Care Quality Authority.
Through Marlene’s leadership the centre has established a strong partnership with community organisations such as Cantoo, The Smith Family, Red cross, Foodbank and the Royal North Shore Hospital.
Marleen has shaped a positive team culture, through continually celebrating professional and personal achievements of the team and leads by example to inspire her team.
When nominating Marlene the team said “without her, we would not be the amazing team we are today. She inspires the whole team to be the best they can be and treat each other with kindness, understanding and respect. She is always there to listen and offer solutions. not to mention she makes the day fun while doing it.”
Marlene was honoured and excited to win the award and credits her inspiration to her belief that “we all have the ability to create a positive impact on others - My goal is to continue to uplift, inspire and build skills in others, to enable them to achieve their best.”
