At Goodstart Labrador – Olsen Avenue, our philosophy centres around the belief that every child is a unique individual with their own interests and strengths. We embrace a play-based learning approach that nurtures curiosity and creativity, allowing children to explore their world in meaningful ways.

Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them.
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators.
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.
At our Labrador – Olsen Avenue centre, we're proud to inspire your child's love of learning with the support of our passionate and qualified early childhood experts. Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our three and four-year-old kindergarten program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start school.

My daughter has just graduated from Goodstart Olsen Avenue, where she's been attending since she was 10 months old. Choosing a childcare centre can be a daunting task, but I was so happy with our choice of Goodstart Olsen Ave. Something that immediately stood out to me was that a number of staff have been working at this centre for over 25 years! If that doesn't speak volumes then I don't know what does. Whilst it might not be new and shiny like some other centres, Thank you, Goodstart Olsen Ave for being our daughter's home away from home!

Scott is so welcoming to all families every day, he is always happy and playful, having a male role model in the classroom is so important and he has so much love and kindness.
As a first time mum choosing a daycare felt overwhelming, we toured 3 centres, but Goodstart easily stood out because of how warm and attentive the educators were. I feel like the educators not only care about the children but also the parents. I'll never forget the time Ammy hugging me when I cried during those early drop off's or Ruth checking in on me in the carpark. These moments meant so much. I also feel the team really understand my son as his progress reports reflect exactly his characteristics he displays at home. He is often smiling outside at pick up and if not he's always in the arms of an educator. Shout out to the nursery team for making him feel safe and getting him to try new things! Ruth, Natnicha and the nursery team you are all amazing!
From the day “i do not want to go to school” to “Hurry up, I want to go to school”, my daughter has come a long way. All credit goes to Good start early learning Labrador staff, she even wants to go to school during weekend too. They are awesome and have shaped my daughter’s learning journey in best possible way. They made learning extremely easy with their innovative activities and tasks through out the day. Each and every staff is extremely skilled and talented with years of experience nurturing every kid at the centre. I would highly recommend the Good start Labrador centre to all parents that wants their child to have the best start in life. Kudos to the whole team.
I can’t recommend Goodstart Early Learning Labrador – Olsen Avenue highly enough! 💛✨ The staff are absolutely incredible, and the facilities are fantastic 🤩 We’ve tried a few different daycares, and this is by far the best one. For the first time ever, my daughter is the one rushing me out the door because she can’t wait to get to daycare 😅🤩 It makes me so grateful to know she loves it this much! 🙏🥰
The time flies when you're doing what you love. In 2021, I celebrated 27 years of service.
I love my position as the Centre Director and working with families for the best possible outcomes along with seeing the way the children are able to embrace the wonder of play, whilst soaking up knowledge that helps grow into articulate young people. To be able to play a small role in the foundation of their learning is a privilege.
I am the mother of two, who are now grown and flown the coup. I am so proud of what they have and will continue to accomplish in life.
I hold my Advanced Diploma in Community Services, Children's Services, and relevant First Aid certificate.
At Goodstart Labrador Olsen Ave, I am inspired every day with being able to assist all children in their development and learning whilst positively encouraging their successes.
Each child is different, each family is unique, and no two days are ever the same. My aim is to provide support that is tailored to your family’s needs. Working in partnership with you to build upon your child’s social and emotional development and readiness for school.
