At Goodstart, we believe that children thrive when families and educators work in partnership. That’s why we created the What & When for Families - a practical and straightforward guide to help you understand and support your child’s development during the early years.
We know the most learning and development happens from birth to five. Our guide is designed to help you understand and support your child’s development at each stage. The guide is shaped around the key areas of development that we follow at Goodstart, including; communication and language, creativity, problem-solving, physical development, and more. Each section highlights the skills and developmental milestones we help children master as part of our early learning program and offers ideas for how you can build on that learning at home. You’ll also find QR codes linking to fun, play-based toys and educational resources from Modern Teaching Aids, with a 22.5% discount available exclusively for Goodstart families.
Because every child grows and develops at their own pace, it’s important to know what to look for and how to help your child. Our educators are tuned into your child’s progress and will use the What & When guide with you to help you understand and support your child’s growth and learning.
And there is more to come. Our new Parenting Portal launches soon, where you will find additional tools, videos, and tips to support your parenting journey. These are just some of the benefits of being a Goodstart family.
To get an early look at our What & When for Families, visit any Goodstart centre and we’ll be happy to show you our centre copy. From January 2026, every enrolled child will receive their copy to take home.
