Welcome to Goodstart Sinnamon Park

Our Sinnamon Park early learning centre provides a warm, connected environment where children can learn, play and grow at their own pace. Set close to leafy parklands, our centre gives children generous opportunities to explore nature, discover wildlife and develop confidence through child-led experiences. Our committed educators build strong relationships with children and families, creating a genuine sense of belonging and continuity. With two Bachelor-qualified Kindergarten teachers and a culturally diverse team, children are supported to learn through meaningful experiences that reflect their interests, strengths and family backgrounds.

  • A leafy outdoor setting: Children can explore our generous, secure outdoor spaces, with shaded communal areas, separate playgrounds for younger children and opportunities to notice birds and reptiles in our natural surroundings.
  • A strong sense of connection: Many of our educators have been part of the centre for more than 10 years, including team members with 19 and 22 years of service, helping children experience familiar faces, trusted relationships and a strong sense of belonging.
  • Child-led learning: Our educators follow children's interests and ideas, creating experiences that encourage curiosity, independence, creativity and confidence.
  • Inclusive and multicultural: Our diverse team speaks languages including Chinese, Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese, Mandarin and Punjabi, helping us celebrate different cultures and create an inclusive community.
  • Kindergarten learning: Our two Bachelor-qualified Kindergarten teachers support children in Preschool/Kindergarten, helping prepare them for a confident transition to school through play-based, purposeful learning.
  • Learning beyond the centre: Children in Kindergarten 2 can take part in Bush Kindy, while educational incursions such as Henny Penny Hatching and emergency services visits bring exciting real-world learning experiences to the centre.
  • A community families know and trust: Families value our welcoming staff, multicultural community and the way our educators know the children, families and each other so well.

Every day brings opportunities for children to make choices, build friendships and develop their emerging skills through play and exploration. Our educators take the time to understand each child's interests and respond to their individual ways of learning, supporting them to become confident, capable learners. Children can enjoy optional experiences including Happy Feet with Steph and six-monthly dental check-ups through National Dental Services Australia.

Our location is convenient for families, close to Edenbrooke parklands and Rocks Riverside Park, around five minutes from Mount Ommaney Shopping Centre, with a city bus stop conveniently located outside the centre car park. With a strong bushland setting, experienced educators and a welcoming multicultural community, Sinnamon Park is a place where children can feel known, valued and encouraged to thrive. Book a tour today and discover our child-led approach to early learning, or take a tour of our centre and see the environment for yourself.

Jessica Johns

Centre Director
Hello and Welcome My name is Jessica and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Sinnamon Park.

I have worked in the Early Learning Sector for 18 years, all of those working with Goodstart Early Learning, progressing from Educator to Educational Leader to Assistant Director to Centre Director and I hold my Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

In my approach to Early Learning, I emphasise the importance of providing children with opportunities to explore, discover and build knowledge through hands-on experiences, while fostering strong relationships.  Having grown up in a rural environment, I am particularly passionate about learning through nature and the outdoors, recognising the significant role that outdoor experiences play in a child's development.
Our curriculum and beautiful large playground, which back native parklands, are designed to offer regular opportunities for children to engage with nature, participate in physical activities, and cultivate an appreciation for the environment. This is then reinforced through our approach to sustainability where we Reduce, Recycle and Reuse where possible to create a better world.

I am a proud mother and an animal enthusiast, sharing my home with dogs, horses and other animals. My interests include outdoor activities such as horse riding, golfing, and spending quality time with my family.

At Goodstart Sinnamon Park, we strive to create a learning environment that honours each child's unique needs and interests. Together, we will cultivate a lifelong love for learning, encouraging exploration and joy in the process.
We as a Centre are involved in the Baby Give Back project, where we collect items from our families donating them to vulnerable families. Baby Give Back is a Queensland charity with a mission to give children an equal start in life by providing material basics (like clothing and nappies) to vulnerable families.
We also are a drop off point for The Nappy Collective, this project is all year-round collecting nappies that are no longer needed and are given vulnerable families.

We are excited to invite you to Sinnamon Park to show you around and to meet our team of passionate educators.

Looking forward to meeting you soon!
