Goodstart Bundaberg George Street

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Bundaberg - George Street is located between Takalvan Street and George Street with street access and parking available from George Street. We are in close proximity to West State Primary School as well as local shops, transport and main roads.

We provide care for children aged six weeks to school age. Our child care centre connects families to external support services and we are happy to assist in any way we can.
 
At Goodstart George Street, all educators currently hold a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services with a majority also holding diplomas. We have a university qualified Kindergarten teacher who provides the Queensland Kindergarten program to children in the year before school age.

Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.

Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our two areas have natural elements, vege patch, sandpits, a reading nook, garden beds, bark pit, stage and lots of shade.
 
Our child care centre communicates with families through various forms; including one to one conversations, centre newsletters and also inviting families to spend time at the centre. Information about your child’s day is shared with families through displays in each room and the outdoor program is displayed in the foyer each day.

This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.

Goodstart Bundaberg George Street provides all meals for all children incorporating a nutritional menu and also provides a courtesy bus option for families.
 
The child care centre has been part of the local community for almost 10 years. During this time we have participated in a range of community events while also networking with other early childhood professionals.
