Goodstart Mount Pleasant

Goodstart Early Learning Mount Pleasant is located in a beautiful, quiet street in the middle of Mackay’s northern suburbs. Children can start at Goodstart Mount Pleasant at the age of 15 months, and we strongly encourage families to stay right up until they start school, as we run a Government Funded Kindergarten program run by an Early Childhood Teacher.

Our team of educators at Goodstart Mount Pleasant have worked thoughtfully to create environments that are beautiful for our children. Our Toddler, Senior Toddler and Pre-Kindergarten educators develop specific learning programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework, where our Kindergarten program is designed alongside the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines to ensure our older children are ready for Prep.
 
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communication with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
 
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with sandpits, climbing equipment, lots of space for running and plenty of shade. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
 
Goodstart Mount Pleasant work closely with families to build a strong sense of community, where we hold seasonal events for families to come along and meet each other. We support a wide range of culturally diverse families and we embrace this diversity, nurturing a culture of understanding and acceptance.
