About our centre

The Early Years Place offers a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for families.

Redlands Integrated Early Years Place is run by Goodstart Early Learning in partnership with The Benevolent Society and provides children and their families access to health, support and community services.

Based on the grounds of the Capalaba State College, as well as three satellite sites across the Redlands area, the service offers a mix of services including early childhood educator and teacher training, child and maternal health and parent support.

The aim of the place is to increase access to early years resources across the region, including the Redland Bay islands, to improve child and parental wellbeing, strengthen family resilience, promote children's development and build community connections for families.

Three playgroups are held at the centre every week, on Mondays and Tuesdays, meeting the needs of toddlers and babies and Fun Fridays from 9.30-11.30am for all age groups.

Our goals is to support families to become more aware of their child's developmental needs, feel confident in engaging with services when needed and feel confident in their parenting ability.

Families can seek the help of professionals such as occupational therapists, get health checks for children, health referrals and support and transition to school programs.

Breakfast is served on Mondays and Thursdays, and the centre we open a couple of afternoons a week for those looking to connect with other families in the community. The centre features children’s play equipment, books, puzzles and stations for messy play.

I have been with Goodstart Early Learning since 2018 and was previously the Centre Director at Goodstart Wynnum.

Our commitment for the Early Years Place is to work collaboratively across the early years space supporting families and children to be happy and healthy. Our goals are to support families to become more aware of their child’s developmental needs, feel confident in engaging with services when needed and feel confident in their parenting ability.
