When Amy McNicol first joined Goodstart as a trainee straight out of high school little did she know she’d soon be on the path to running her own 90 place centre in South Australia.
“The traineeship came up when I had recently finished year 12 and I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn on the job.”
“My Centre Director was great, holding regular catch up sessions with me to support me right from the very beginning.
“I was also able to attend monthly sessions with other trainees, which was really beneficial. It meant I could work and chat through the training as I went.
“Since then I have gone on to complete my Diploma in Early Learning at Goodstart.
“I worked as Senior Educator across various rooms, before moving to the role as Assistant Director, and now have been appointed as Centre Director of Goodstart Old Reynella."
