Estimate your new Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

From July 13 2020, the Child Care Subsidy will return, along with new transition measures to support parents. What does this mean for me?

  • -  The Government will ease the activity test until October 4 to support eligible families whose employment has been impacted as a result of COVID-19.
  • -  If you’ve had a drop in income since February your family may now qualify for up to 100 hours of subsidy per fortnight.
  • -  The estimator does not take into account your possible eligibility for 100 hours (or that Goodstart doesn’t charge for public holidays)

Give our Family Support Team a call on 1800 222 543 who can provide further information and an estimate around your out-of-pocket costs.

Otherwise, to begin estimating your CCS, please select which option best describes you:

The amount of the new Child Care Subsidy you will be entitled to will depend on three key things:

  • Your combined family income.
  • Your recognised work related activity. The Government will ease the activity test until 4 October to support eligible families whose employment has been impacted as a result of COVID-19. These families will receive up to 100 hours per fortnight of subsidised care during this period.
  • The child care fees you pay.

You will need to report changes in both income and activity to Centrelink, while we will be reporting on our fees. The estimator provides a rough guide in 2019-20 dollars.

NOTE: This estimator does not take into account your possible eligibility for CCS100, or that Goodstart does not charge for public holidays.

Read the full terms of our Disclaimer and use of personal information before using the estimator.
