About Goodstart Bathurst
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Bathurst is located only minutes from the centre of town in a quiet, easy-to-find road close to local schools, shops and community services.
The centre consists of four rooms accommodating for children aged six weeks to six years.
Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with our amazing adventure garden consisting of vegetable gardens, chickens, native garden, worm farm, compost management and a fairy garden. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
We have a qualified cook who cooks fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day. The centre provides all meals during the day, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack.
Our centre believes in broadening all children's horizons. We have an exciting monthly calendar of events and enjoy fun day's, acknowledge special days as well as taking the children on excursions and having incursions within the centre.
Our parent committee is highly involved in the garden and have helped organise much of the materials. The parent committee is an important asset to our centre community and we always welcome new parents to join.
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.
We look forward to meeting you and your family soon! Come in and meet the team, take a tour and see how we can work together to give your child the best possible start in life.
