About Goodstart Bendigo
Goodstart Early Learning Bendigo is located within the city centre of Bendigo with easy access to public transport, schools and local businesses. There is onsite parking, making drop offs and pick-ups an ease.
Our educators are passionate and caring, they work alongside the children, their families and the surrounding local community.
We provide opportunities for children to grow and learn through implementing educational, play based programs. We encourage all children to participate in our fun and natural environments whilst also encouraging participation from families; providing a continuity of care from the home environment.
In all of our rooms, from Nursery to Kindergarten, our educational program and practices are set up in line with the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards. Through sensory and play-based learning opportunities we are able to offer children the highest level of early education that we can, while supporting and promoting individuality and uniqueness in all children.
We view our inside and outside environments as one, encouraging play to remain free flowing and inclusive. Our play spaces incorporate age-appropriate equipment and resources, while enhancing the children’s awareness of their greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our environments consist of sandpits, veggie patches, garden beds, a balance of manmade and natural play surfaces, a cubby house, dirt patches as well as plenty of shade.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular community events and celebrations, enable us to build strong relationships with our parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. The open communication means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths, respecting the strong level of cultural diversity within our centre.
The local community is also very important to us. Our centre is involved with the Bendigo Council, Communities for Children, the Gravel Hill Community Gardens, the Bendigo and District Aboriginal Co-operative, and the Young People for Refugees, just to name a few. We are continually looking at new opportunities to be involved in our community and further support our children and their families.
Throughout the year we recognise and celebrate special events such as NAIDOC week, reconciliation week and ANZAC day through dress ups, by attending community events and hosting family events within and outside the centre. Our end of year celebration is held for all children, families and educators to look back on the year and see off our graduating kinder children.
Our centre is open from 7:00am til 6:00pm, five days a week. Our cook provides a four week rotating menu that includes a buffet breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. All our produce is fresh and sourced locally.
We would welcome the opportunity to meet you and your family, learn about your diverse background and support your child during their most important developmental years.
