About Goodstart Box Hill Whitehorse Road
Goodstart Early Learning Box Hill Whitehorse Road is a friendly, multicultural child care centre located within walking distance of Box Hill Central and Box Hill TAFE. Our centre is also in close proximity to bus stops, train stations and a number of schools.
Our team of educators are qualified and experienced, and we are fortunate to have a number of multi-lingual educators who can support children in their educational journey while helping them feel safe and secure.
Our programming is designed with children’s interests, developmental needs and educational goals in mind. We aim to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment that supports children’s growth and fosters a love of learning while developing their independence and agency.
We encourage family feedback and participation within the service with the support of a family educator who assists with programs and learning areas while also engaging positively with all children within the centre.
Our centre follows the Early Years Learning Framework and creates learning experiences to support the learning outcomes of this framework while providing stimulating, engaging experiences catered to the children’s interests and development.
We follow a play-based learning structure at Goodstart Box Hill Whitehorse Road. This means that we encourage children to learn and grow through free-flowing uninterrupted play to develop their social, emotional and physical development. Through providing open ended resources for the children to engage with, we foster their creativity and imagination while scaffolding their learning.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and email communication, enables us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity within our centre.
Outdoors, we continue to provide engaging and stimulating learning areas to support and enhance the children’s development. This includes building their awareness of the world around them through caring for our garden plants, our worm farms. We support physical development with a variety of physical play resources such as ball sports, climbing frames, sandpits and a digging patch as well as a fortnightly sports program.
We also have a cook at the centre providing delicious and nutritious meals for the children to give them energy to learn and grow and play.
Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
Come in and say hello! We would love to welcome you and your family into our centre.
