About Goodstart Bray Park Elmwood Drive
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Bray Park - Elmwood Drive is conveniently located on the corner of Samsonvale Road and Elmwood Drive, close to the bus and the nearby shopping centre.
We currently have 68 families and the centre is licenced for children from 15 months to 12 years.
We’re very proud of our long-term and experienced educators, who have an average of 8 years’ experience in the early learning sector. These educators are also highly qualified, all of them holding or working towards their Diploma in Children’s Services. We also have a qualified Early Childhood Teacher running our kindy program.
As well as early learning education, we offer before and after school care and vacation care for local schools including Strathpine West State School, Bray Park State School and Holy Spirit Catholic School.
Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
Ours is a homely cottage-style centre with bullnose verandas and four large outdoor areas with many trees creating natural appeal.
Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
We have a very good relationship with the local schools in the area and provide a pre-prep transition program for our kindy children. In term four, the children spend two hours a week at the local primary school to help them get used to big school and make new friends. We also offer extra-curricular activities including ‘dance-along’ dance lessons and possibly swimming in the near future.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family. Come in and take a look around, meet the team and explore how we can support your early learning journey.
