The Empowered Leaders Program has been designed to support high-performing Centre Directors and Assistant Centre Directors who are ready to take the next step in their leadership journey and further extend their careers. The program recognises that these leaders are already making a significant contribution and provides them with the tools, support and structure to deepen their skills and create lasting impact within their centres and communities.

The program has been developed in direct partnership with Centre and State Leadership teams and Subject Mater Experts from across the business, with participant feedback highlighting the relevance of the content, the opportunity to connect with peers and the immediate positive impact on their leadership practice. The national delivery model of the program is building consistency in leadership and management practices across the Goodstart network.

Built for Goodstart, grounded in real experience

What sets the Empowered Leaders Program apart is its strong connection to the Goodstart context. The content is not generic - it is specifically designed using real examples, scenarios and challenges from Goodstart centres. It was co-designed by Goodstart with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to ensure that everything participants learn can be immediately applied in their role. Whether it’s leading teams, managing performance or making operational decisions, the program reflects the realities of leadership at Goodstart and supports leaders to take practical action.

A recognised qualification and lasting outcomes

Participants who complete the program will have the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised Diploma of Leadership and Management, while also gaining outcomes that extend well beyond the qualification. By strengthening their leadership capability, participants build greater confidence, clarity and practical skills to create and sustain high-performing environments for their teams, children and families.
