About Goodstart Brighton Cochrane Street
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Brighton - Cochrane Street is conveniently located for families who commute to work just a short walk from Brighton North train station.
We are a 60-place centre and Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework. All have with sensory and play based learning opportunities.
Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. We have sandpits, natural and manmade play surfaces, vege patches, bike path, fairy garden and worm farm.
All meals are prepared on site by our qualified cook who uses tasty, fresh and nutritional ingredients – just the thing to keep hungry tummies satisfied.
We like to keep our families involved in our centre and we provide many events during the year for you to join us. Events include Mother's and Father's Day breakfasts, an afternoon tea for grandparents, a Christmas party and graduation. Many families like to share time and their special talents with the children. The children love it when Mums and Dads drop in to read a story, or get involved with our special events.
We’re very proud of the fantastic relationships we’ve built with families at the centre and we often receive great feedback about the way we keep families informed. For example, every child has a communication book to update families on their child’s day, their nap times and what they’ve had to eat. It allows families to adjust their regular routine at home if needed.
Another great opportunity for your child is our regular incursion program. Recently we’ve had lots of visitors including the animal farm, reptiles and African musicians. These incursions help the children to explore their interests and learn more about the world around them.
The thing your child will most love about our centre is our caring educators, many who have been with the centre for years. They are the heart of our centre and create sense of belonging for children that will last a lifetime.
We welcome you to come and have a look at our beautiful child care centre and explore how we can support you and your child.
