About Goodstart Brighton East
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Brighton East is licensed for 74 children with four separate rooms that are large and airy, with plenty of natural light. We are in a convenient location and close to public transport. Gardenvale is the closest train station and there are buses on North Road.
Each day offers limitless opportunities for your child to learn. We have several extra-curricular activities on offer including a music program, a drama program and a sports buzz program. We also have a doctor service, which is a great convenience to our families.
We pride ourselves on our exceptional educators. We are passionate about delivering the highest quality care possible and were recently ranked ‘exceeding’ in our ratings assessment. We are professional, caring and multicultural. We have several staff that speak a second language, which allows every child to feel at home with us. The team continually strives to make our centre a fun and educational place to be. Truly a home away from home!
Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
Outside we use the natural surrounds to reinforce values around the natural environment and the importance of sustainability. We have two large, shaded areas and well-equipped play areas for our children to explore, with sandpit, outdoor kitchen, vege patch, a deck area, bike path, fairy garden and worm farm. We also have a pet rabbit and pet budgie.
All meals are prepared on site by our qualified cook who uses tasty, fresh and nutritional ingredients – just the thing to keep hungry tummies satisfied.
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.
We look forward to meeting you and your family soon! Come in and meet the team, take a tour and see how we can work together to give your child the best possible start in life.
