Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre - Cochrane Street is a 60-place center, located in a residential community in Brighton. Conveniently positioned just a short walk from Brighton North train station for families who commute to work.

Our service offers 4 carefully planned for environments that are purposefully set based on extending our children’s current interests. We use the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards to guide our daily programing and practice.

We have a qualified and cheerful on-site chef who cooks using tasty, fresh and nutritional ingredients to cook fresh meals daily, catering to any necessary dietary requests or requirements.

We pride ourselves on our deep, nurturing and empowering relationships with children.

The powerful theory of attachment guides our educators in building secure connections with each individual child. Partnering with our families and wider community, together our team ensure that our children’s first 5 years of education, their most important, are that of a success.

My name is Rahil, and I’m so excited to introduce myself as the new Centre Director at Goodstart Brighton.

I have been part of the Goodstart family for 9 years, working in a variety of roles and across different age groups. During this time, I’ve developed a strong passion for supporting children to become confident, capable learners.

I believe in creating a warm, welcoming environment where every child and family feels a true sense of belonging.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature - especially fishing and camping. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming your family to our centre!

Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
