Welcome! To the Goodstart Brinsmead family.
Once your family joins us at Goodstart Brinsmead, you’ll always be part of our extended family. One of our greatest features is that families often return to our centre with younger siblings as they feel so welcome and comfortable with the educators and the early learning environments that we offer. We have three playgrounds, that provide the children lots of open play spaces in a shady, calm environment.
With five learning spaces – Nursery through to kindergarten, we offer educational quality programs focusing on the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards. Our Kindergarten program has the Queensland State Government ‘Kinder Tick with a qualified teacher running our program, with a fantastic transition to school piece. Inside you’ll see how industrious our children are with the artwork and activities, changing regularly as their learning needs and interests change and develop.
We love to celebrate here at the centre and often enjoy spontaneous events, that build on the children’s learning. Some past events include Christmas and Easter celebrations, an end of year break-up carnival and a graduation for our kindergarten children. We also celebrate lots of multicultural events, incorporating and exploring different cultures that our diverse educators and families bring to the service into our calendar of events.
We are passionate about partnering with our families and our team look forward to updating families on how their child’s day has been via several methods, using Storypark and text messages from the services mobile phone.
Children especially love the strong relationships they form with our educators and many of our educators have been with this service for a long time. All our educators are dedicated to creating fun and stimulating days for your child. All staff are qualified or are working towards their qualifications for the roles they are working in. We would like to invite you to drop into our centre and meet our fabulous educators and families for yourself.

I started at the service as the Toddler room group leader in September 2003 and soon move on to become the director in March 2005.
I have 2 beautiful children and in my spare time we love to go camping and spending time with friends. I hold my advance diploma in childcare services and cert 3 in business management.
I am a firm believer that every child has a right to an education and a safe and nurturing environment.
I believe Rita Pierson got it exactly right when she says that every child deserves a champion.
