About Goodstart Calala
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Calala is located close to schools, shops and parks, in a developing area of Tamworth. We are proud of our centre and encourage you to visit, so we can show you what makes us special and why we are rated ‘exceeding’.
The educators of Goodstart Calala Tamworth are very dedicated early childhood professionals with many years of experience and various qualifications, who are committed to working in partnership with families to provide a wonderful early childhood experience. The commitment and dedication of our Centre’s educators ensures all children are provided with amazing opportunities to develop and learn. Our service philosophy is ‘Respect’ and this is visible in our environments, interactions and everyday practices.
This is all made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
We are extremely proud of our outdoor learning spaces and when we have visitors to the centre they are often surprised by the amount of space and exciting learning opportunities provided. Our outdoor areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with cubby house, running river bed, large sandpits with water flow, edible gardens, citrus trees, laying chickens, sensory areas, life size boat, climbing equipment, raised stages, outdoor picnic areas, plenty of shade, as well as open spaces for running, riding bikes and keeping active. We have an interest in loose parts and children’s own agency in play, which provides for some amazing exploration and learning to take place.
We believe that family and community are fundamental to children finding their place of belonging in our world, so we often have fun days, centre visits and excursions. We have embedded Kamilaroi language into our daily learning and continue to explore Aboriginal culture and local stories. Regular excursions within our local community provide wonderful learning opportunities for the children to explore our neighborhood in Calala.
We look forward to meeting you and your family soon! Come in and meet the team at Goodstart Calala Tamworth, take a tour and see how we can work together to give your child the best possible start in life.
