About Goodstart Caloundra
Goodstart Early Learning Caloundra is situated in the heart of Caloundra and is close to shopping centres, schools and public transport.
We provide care and education for children from 15 months to school age.
The centre offers educational programs which are based on the interests of the children and follow the Early Years Learning Framework. We also have a fully qualified teachers who provides an accredited Kindergarten program, as well as a fully qualified teacher in Pre-Kindergarten to best set the children up for success.
Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
Our practice and programming is underpinned by the Key Educator Approach. Key educator relationships enable and support close attachments between educators, children and their family. By being available, sensitive, warm and responsive in understanding the children in small key educator groups, the key educator can provide for attuned, responsive and sufficiently consistent caregiving and intentional insights and contributions to support the child’s learning program.
The centre has a large outdoor play space which has natural shade and play areas. There are vegetable gardens which the children help grow and maintain. We also have two separate play spaces with plenty of room to run, play and create – with large trees, sandpits, a sensory garden, deck area, cubby house, worm farm, compost bin and swings. Within our playground we have an Indigenous meeting space, where the children gather daily to do an Acknowledgement to Country, and where they can go to engage in intentional teaching of Aboriginal culture and perspectives.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths.
We are delighted to offer a home pick up and drop off bus service within the Caloundra area to families!
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, whilst teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society. Some of our regular excursions include Beach Kinder, the library, Woolworths, Bunnings and Seasons Aged Care.
We warmly welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your family and learn a little about how we can best support your child on the journey of lifelong learning.

Roxy Williamson Centre Director
Hi, my name is Roxy Williamson and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning in beautiful Caloundra.
I have worked with children for 10 years in a number of roles; first as a Primary School teacher then as a Kindergarten teacher before becoming a Centre Director.
My passion for Early Childhood led me to the role of Centre Director and I believe that strong relationships between families, educators and the community complete the perfect equation to set children up for success and provide them with the skills to be lifelong learners.
I see and value each child and family as unique and encourage families to come and visit to get a feel for our environment and see the wonderful play and learning that occurs every day!
