About Goodstart Capalaba Almara Street
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Capalaba – Almara Street is centrally and conveniently located close to primary schools, a bus interchange and a shopping complex.
Our educators and carers are all highly motivated, dedicated and caring, and work hard to create a great environment for our children and families. Every team member has a qualification in early childhood education and care.
Our two kindergarten teachers lead the Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten program, which is a play-based learning program to support children in learning essential skills for school and life.
Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. We have gardens, a rockery, a waterway and sandpit that encourages lots of fun and creativity. We also have a bike track for the older children to zip around on.
We also have an on-site cook who prepares a range of nutritious and healthy meals each day, catering for all children’s needs including allergies.
We keep our centre involved in the wider community by working closely with schools and sporting clubs, and hosting fundraiser and charity events for which we invite community involvement. Families at Goodstart Capalaba Almara Street come from a variety of different cultures and backgrounds, and we maintain close contact with local support and social inclusion services for families to access if needed.
We would welcome the opportunity to meet you and your family and explore how we can support you on this early learning adventure.
