If your child attends childcare with us, they can stay with us until they start school. At Goodstart Dundowran we offer a government-assessed and approved kindergarten program. This curriculum is designed as a part of the Australian government's early years learning framework and it's delivered by bachelor-qualified early childhood teachers. This early education program applies across the country with school readiness in mind.

Hi, I'm Tayla Sorrensen and I'm the Centre Director here at Goodstart Dundowran.

I have proudly been part of the Goodstart Dundowran community for more than 12 years, working in a variety of roles including Assistant Educator, Room Leader, Safety Champion, and now Centre Director. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and am currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Birth to 5 Years) and a Diploma of Business and Management.

I believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported to learn, grow, and thrive. Building strong relationships with children, families, and educators is at the heart of creating positive early learning experiences that inspire confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

I love the strong connections we share with our families and the sense of belonging that makes Dundowran such a special place.

When I'm not at the centre, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, my fur babies, studying, or enjoying the beautiful Fraser Coast lifestyle.

At Dundowran, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 6 July 2026 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
