About Goodstart Golden Square
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Golden Square is located in a quiet but convenient residential area close to local schools and shops as well as public transport and community facilities.
We are passionate about providing early learning environments that are stimulating, engaging, and created around each child’s individual strengths and interests.
We rely heavily on the Early Years Learning Framework to guide our practices. This framework gives us the tools to help your child develop a strong sense of identity and wellbeing, to become connected to and contribute to their world.
Our child care centre contains eight rooms, catering for children from six weeks to five years of age. Despite being a large centre we work hard to maintain close and familiar relationships between educators, families and children.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability.
Our yards are filled with equipment to constantly challenge the children in a safe, risk controlled environment. We regularly update our toys and equipment and have fortnightly maintenance visits to ensure our environments are always well-resourced and hazard free.
Prior to your child starting at the centre we discuss your child’s strengths and interests and the learning goals you have for them, and then together decide on which room and team of educators will best fit your child and family.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the
child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
We also have a cook at the centre providing tasty and nutritious meals for the children when tummies start to growl.
We have regular incursions from all kinds of groups within the community, and maintain an open door policy whereby we encourage families to visit the centre whenever they can. In addition to our fun and exciting daily programs we also have a range of learning days, parents and friends afternoon and morning teas, information sessions, dress up days and lots of other events to enjoy. Our centre has a partnership with the local kids CrossFit program who run classes most days of the week for children aged 3-6, 6-12 and older.
We invite you to come and visit our centre to meet our team and to see for yourself our commitment to your child’s early learning journey.
