About Goodstart Greenfields
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Greenfields is located in a semi-rural, residential area close to local schools, shops and public transport.
We provide a warm and inviting environment for children and their families and we have a number of educators from different nationalities. We have a passionate, dedicated and experienced team, four of which are Diploma qualified with other educators working towards a Diploma or a Degree.
Every room - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - is set up in line with the Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.
Outside, we have two large outdoor play areas incorporating the natural environment, encouraging sustainability and the importance of a natural environment. We have a fort, undercover play area, a vege patch, worm farm, compost, sandpits and lots of natural garden areas to explore.
We support all families’ cultural backgrounds and religious beliefs and we celebrate different cultures every month.
Goodstart Greenfields engages families through various forms of communication, such as our intuitive Storypark platform as well as monthly newsletters including events in the centre and community, also sections for each room with the topic for the upcoming month.
We display a family notice board which provides up to date events and workshops within the community. Each room also displays a day board outlining what the children did on that day and who the educators were. Goodstart Greenfields also provide a parent room for families to use within the centre. Each child is provided with their own portfolio which is accessible to families each day.
Goodstart Greenfields provides 5 healthy meals per day and is tailored to the daily requirements of children in the centre. The menu is displayed outside the centre kitchen for daily viewing.
We are part of a large community within Greenfields. The centre has ongoing relationships with Mandurah City Council, Mandurah Community Health Centre and the Peel Health Campus.
Goodstart Greenfields, which was awarded a Best Practice award in 2014 for its approach to safety and wellbeing in the early learning field.
