Our Centre caters for children from birth to five years - in rooms from Nursery to Kindergarten.
At Goodstart Joondalup we have 11 highly qualified permanent educators and 1 quallified Teacher who deliveres our Kindergarten Program. All are passionate, caring and friendly. Our educators and Teacher believe in children learning through fun and play and encourage children to learn at their own pace through our quality educational programs. Our service is multicultural with both educators and families coming from a variety of different cultural backgrounds including Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Malaysia, Egypt and UK just to name a few.
We pride ourselves in offering exceptionally engaging, meaningful child-led programs that allows each child to thrive while following their interest and learning through fun and play. The core of our curriculum is the Early Years Learning Framework
(EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS). Our amazing educators go above and beyond to ensure the activities implemented, scaffold each child's learning and empower the children to continue on their individual learning journey with confidence and enthusiasm.
Our centre was assessed by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority
(ACECQA) and we received an overall rating of ‘Exceeding’. This process is a National Framework, which rates all Childcare Centres across Australia against the National Quality Standards.
We continue to create and keep amazing, trustworthy and professional yet friendly relationships with all families, that further contributes to the feeling of being united while acting in the best interest of every child.
We believe the atmosphere of home like environment is so important for every child's sense of being and belonging.
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces which include sandpits, veggie patches, physically challenging equipment and quiet areas with lots of shade.
We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
Nutritionaly balanced meals are prepared by our fantastic Centre cook who has completed her Bachelor in Nutrition. Mealtimes at the Centre are treated as a social event, allowing the children to explore a variety of skills including turn taking, self-help skills and social skills. We always endeavor to cater for families with special dietary requirements such as food intolerances, allergies and halal meat.
Communication with families is highly regarded at our Centre and we communicate with families on a daily basis and have an open door policy which means parents can stop by at any time if they wish and speak to an educator about their child.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication.
This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our Centre. We endeavor to ensure all children are being encouraged to learn new skills and strengthen their abilities through our weekly curriculum.
