At Goodstart Kambah, we believe in fostering a love of learning from an early age. Our curriculum is designed to cater to each child's individual needs, promoting cognitive, social, and emotional development through play-based learning activities. 
Being a part of our surrounding community is an important aspect of our service. We make monthly donations of unwanted goods to the local op shop, and hold fundraisers for Jeans for Genes day, Red Nose Day, and numerous other charities throughout the year.  
Our team of experienced and dedicated educators are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children. With a focus on building strong, positive relationships, we go out of our way to see your child feel valued and supported every day. We have team members from Aboriginal, Sri-Lankan, Lebanese, Polish, Indian, Italian, and Australian backgrounds.
Safety is our top priority and we look after our centres. They're intentionally designed to make the best use of our early learning resources and our settings are enriching and engaging. From spacious outdoor play areas to well-appointed learning spaces, we'll have many things that meet your child's interests and individual needs. 
The centre has three large playground areas containing garden beds designed and created in consultation with the children. We also have an art studio for children and families alike to enjoy, and an Indigenous Perspectives corner to teach the children more about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
If your child attends childcare with us, they can stay with us until they start school. At Goodstart Kambah, we offer a government-assessed and approved preschool program. This curriculum is designed as a part of the Australian government's early years learning framework and it's delivered by bachelor-qualified early childhood teachers. This early education program applies across the country with school readiness in mind.

Your child will have at least one key educator who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. Greetings, I’m Iris. I'm excited and proud to serve as centre director at Goodstart Early Learning Kambah!

My educational journey led me to earn a Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching degree back in 2009. Subsequently, I spent 4 years as a Primary School Music Teacher overseas and have dedicated over 12 years to working as an Early Childhood Teacher, Team Leader, Assistant Director and Director in several Exceeding-rated early childhood centres here in Canberra.

Coming from a family of musicians and teachers, I hold a profound belief in the transformative potential of early childhood education. My passion lies in fostering gentle parenting, cultivating respectful relationships with each child and their families, upholding rigorous standards, maintaining reflective and professional practices within our dedicated team of early childhood professionals, and recognizing the significance of music, art, and bilingual education in stimulating children’s cognitive development.

My core belief is that goodness resides in every individual, regardless of their age or stature. I embrace diversity wholeheartedly within our community and advocate for our connection with each other and with nature.

I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to connect with all of you and humbly embark on this shared journey in supporting the learning and growth of our cherished young learners.

Structured Preschool Program

At Kambah, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a preschool program and long day care under the one roof. Our preschool teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
