About Goodstart Kelso Riverway Drive
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Kelso - Riverway Drive is a 75-place long day care centre, located close to local state and private schools. We are also a short drive from the university and hospital.
All of our wonderful educators are qualified and are passionate about creating a stable and consistent atmosphere.
We have a courtesy bus service for families, which drops off and collects children from two schools locally. The bus also services homes for those families with transport difficulties.
Our excellent educational program, which follows the Early Years Learning Framework, gives children the opportunity to develop a great sense of belonging, becoming and being in a fun and challenging environment.
Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.
Our Storypark platform and email contact, enables us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths. We have a strong level of cultural diversity and family feel in our centre which assists and encourages the children to learn and understand other cultures and customs.
Outside, we have three areas all with age appropriate play spaces and equipment, these include sandpits, natural and manmade play surfaces, swings and lots of area for imaginative and fun play. Add to that our welcome mat and play stations, manned by our friendly staff, for those days when leaving Mum or Dad is a teary affair as well as our friendly budgies who provide comfort and a learning platform for care of animals.
Community is important to us and through visits to the centre by groups and other interesting people plus participation in community events and activities throughout the year, we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a regular basis allowing the children to freely express their creativity.
